About Les Récoltes Marcotte
Our history
It is to Mr. Alexandre Marcotte that we owe the existence of Les Récoltes Marcotte. Indeed, it is in 1956 that the latter, a native of Saint-Liboire, in Montérégie, decided to take a spot in the Drummondville public market.
From his small warehouse on the family farm, Mr. Marcotte has managed to forge an enviable reputation that continues to this day.
In the 70s, his children, Sylvie and Mario, as well as two young men also from Saint-Liboire, Robert and Martin Brunelle, join the business.
Mario took over in the 1980s and even opened his fruit shop at Place Citadelle on boulevard Saint-Joseph in Drummondville. In 1994, Robert and Martin take the helm. Then, due to lack of space, the three men join forces in 2001 and open their own warehouse on Lemire Boulevard.Mario prend la relève dans les années 80 et ouvre même sa fruiterie à la Place Citadelle du boulevard Saint-Joseph à Drummondville. En 1994, Robert et Martin prennent la barre à leur tour. Puis, par manque d’espace, les trois hommes s’associent en 2001 et ouvrent leur propre entrepôt sur le boulevard Lemire.
In 2013, they expanded the size of their warehouse by 40% to better serve their customers.
To this day, quality and freshness remain their priority, while favouring commerce with local farmers and growers.
